Game On

Summer is in full swing and we continue to host friends and family in our homes. These are some of the best games to play and keep everyone entertained.

Outdoor games

To keep the kids and family entertained for hours, outdoor games are better, the more outdoor the game the better. These are a few games to play that will even have the over-active toddler tired: tug of war, sack racing, frisbee, tag rugby, table tennis, and soccer.

Imaginative games

It’s often hard to come up with inventive games to entertain your guests but we’ve done our research and here are a few. Cards Against Humanity – this card game is about filling out the blank from a card drawn from the deck with one of the cards you get dealt, it’s loads of fun. Ice Cubes – each player will be given an ice cube, the player who melts the ice cube the quickest wins. You cannot put it in your mouth, no standing on it or any equipment is allowed. Sticker stalker – for the duration of the party players must stick stickers on other players without them noticing. The psychiatrist – each player needs to take on the personality/role of another person in the room. The person chosen to be a psychiatrist has to figure out who they are. Improv but for non-actors - write scenarios down on pieces of paper, put them in a hat or jar and each team needs to draw a situation from it and act it out.

Classic games (2)

When making a list of games one has to include the staple in most homes - 30 seconds. Tearing families apart since the 80s *jokes* it turns a quiet afternoon into one filled with screaming and laughing maybe even crying. Uno is a card game with the ability to evoke the same kind of passionate screams from your loved ones. Scrabble and chess are for the ones who enjoy quietly tense atmospheres.

Let the games begin.
